Use Crouch To Be Stealthy (Beginner Tip)

 Press down the R toggle stick once to start crouching. Doing so will slow your movement speed, but cause you to make less noise so you don't get noticed easily by monsters. It is also useful when you hunt, so that animals won't notice you. If you run into a monster camp, it will result into an immediate fight, causing you to have less time to prepare. On the other hand, if you sneak into a camp, you might get the chance to steal your enemy's weapons and force them to fight you without weapons.
